Air Jordan XI Space Jam Comparison 2001 vs 2009 - Instyleshoes

Today we take a look at the 2001 (Left) Space Jam vs 2009 (Right) release.  

We have been asked "what's the difference?" recently, so we took them out and wanted to compare them for you.  Both are size 12 and DS.

Other than "Comfort" (almost everyone says the 01 release is more comfortable), the other subtle differences include :

-"pimples" along the outsole on the 09

-leather quality on the heel panel for the 01 feels different to the touch

-Softness of the cordura mesh : 01 is much softer than the 09

- A slight difference in the toebox height (pictured)

Other than packaging (the 01 came in a standard "Jordan Face box" and 09 in the newer XI collector box with blue plastic shoe trees), there aren't a TON of differences, but they are meaningful enough to long time collectors.
